MY STUDIO.
‘Having my own studio environment to pursue the projects I am involved in, is really a dream come true for me. Here, I can both sculpt my own musical projects as well as providing my skills as a producer and engineer for projects of the artists and bands I work with.
Although I believe that talent, taste and creativity will always beat gear, I do have some nice toys here which I 'd like to introduce to you.’
Tim is the proud owner of a fully-equipped recording, mixing and mastering studio in his hometown Erkelenz/ Germany. Located just a few kilometres away from the Dutch border, his creative home is within reach of a variety of cities known for their pulsating music scenes, such as Cologne, Düsseldorf, Essen, Aachen and Maastricht.
The control room has two 70s vintage analog mixing desks at its heart and provides a fine selection of industry standard studio outboard gear including two stereo tape machines as well as a comfortable listening environment and an inspiring atmosphere to focus on music. In combination with a custom built audio PC with modern DAWs such as Cubase, Logic and Pro Tools plus high end plugin suites installed, digital, analogue and hybrid mixing and mastering setups are possible here.
To assure high fidelity sound quality at the recording stage, a tasteful selection of high quality microphones is ready to capture musical performances in their finest and most delicate aspects.
Last but not least, Tim's studio is the home of a wide-ranging CD collection from all genres of Western Music ready to be called upon for CD quality reference listening and inspiration.
In the recording space, there's a fully set-up professional drum set to be found aswell as a large-scale collection of modern and vintage bass guitars, electric guitars and boutique amplifiers. In addition to that, Tim has his collection of analog and digital synthesisers and electronic keyboards right at hand as well as a beautiful double manual Hammond organ.
